Application of YX3000 Series Frequency Inverter on Construction Elevators

I. Overview    

Construction elevators, also called freight elevators, are generally larger than passenger elevators, ranging from 2,000 to 5,000 kilograms, and most of them are traction-type. Freight elevators are generally not well decorated in order to avoid damage during transportation. Many elevator doors are controlled manually. In construction sites, warehouses and relevant places, rack and pinion meshing elevators are sometimes used to transport goods and allow workers to ride. This elevator does not have an elevator shaft, and rack rails are used to support and move the car.

II. Advantages of Yuanxin inverter control

1. Soft start

Compared with the power frequency starting method, the use of frequency inverter control can reduce the vibration of the mechanical part and the impact of the components, save the maintenance cost for the user and run stable.

2. Security

With zero servo function, the motor can full torque output at zero speed. Even if the brake is loose or fails, there will be no heavy objects sliding down, ensuring the safety and reliability of the system.

The use of advanced modern AC frequency conversion speed regulation technology to carry out technical transformation of the elevator electric drive system, so that the elevator realizes smooth operation, increases operation efficiency, improves overload operation, eliminates starting and braking impact, reduces electrical maintenance, cuts power consumption, and increases power factors, all of which can achieve good results. At the same time, it also has overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage and input phase loss protection, as well as inverter overheat, overload, overspeed, brake unit overheat, I/O fault protection, and motor fault protection.

3. High efficiency

(1) Its operating speed can reach 60-70m/min, which is twice the operating speed of traditional elevators (34m/min). The stepless speed regulation technology effectively solves the transmission impact of the mechanism and prolongs the service life of gears, rollers, bearings, and racks.

(2) The frequency conversion speed regulation system has perfect safety protection function, such as under-voltage, over-voltage, over-torque and over-current protection, to ensure the reliability and safety of the entire electronic control system. Since the system is zero-speed braking and the brake has no relative rotational friction, the service life is theoretically infinite, but in fact it is at least ten times longer.

(3) The leveling control system with superior performance. The leveling of the traditional elevator is realized by the driver with visual manual control, which is inefficient, and it often needs to move up and down several times to stop at a floor accurately. It not only reduces the efficiency but also increases the fatigue of the drag and control system, and shortens the lifecycle. The use of frequency conversion leveling simplifies the entire system and completely replaces the relay system with a high failure rate.

4. Good economical efficiency

The elevator has a higher speed and higher power, but compared with traditional products, the energy consumption has been reduced by 50%, because the motor does not need to supply power when it is lowered. Maintenance costs have fallen. For non-speed-regulating elevators of the same model, gears, brake discs, and several contactors must be replaced at least four times a year, and working hours are wasted. With this technology, the exchange rate of gears can be reduced by 50%, and the lifecycle of racks can be doubled.
